[she spends a good long while in there, extracts being heartily applied to her poor hair, and then she has to hunt for something to use as pajamas that she hasn't worn in the past week. a t-shirt and baggy sweats it is.

when she emerges, carol is still toweling the ends of her hair dry, completely put-out -- but as soon as she spots the kid curled up on the couch, she has to stop and smile a little. it feels so... homey.

that's new, and a little disorienting, but kind of nice.

she comes around to the front of the couch and nudges him a little, make room, grabs up the comb so she can attend to her own hair and sits herself down, leaving most of the space for him. but she's quiet the whole time, doesn't want to disturb him.

plus it's a good movie.]
