There's something about me that I don't think Raikou-san's family would approve of. They're very traditional! [Well, his mother was, at least. He wasn't so worried about Raimei.]
If they ask about this... What do you think the best way to discuss a topic like this is? I've already made a bad first impression with his mother, and I don't want to stain our relationship further!

Situationally dependent, but I guess the best thing you can do is just be honest? Honest and sincere. If they still don't approve, then that's their own fault, you did what you could do.

The thing is... Raikou-san's family has been distant in the past before. [Thaaat is an understatement.] I don't want to split them up any more than they have been! I'm fine with not discussing it [He wasn't one to go around screaming about this sort of thing, even if he was fine and proud of it], but I don't want to lie to them if they do find out or ask!

Carol-san, I understand that Badou-san can be very difficult, and I know that there's much more to his past that he doesn't reveal publicly. It might not be my place to say, but...
I worry that he's causing you too much trouble and worry!
[For how much he talks to the kid, there's very little he actually knows about him, but he can sense a mentally unhealthy individual from the smallest cues, and Badou practically had a blinking, neon sign pointing to him.]

There's not much he could do here, is there? This wasn't his "family", or even remotely his business. Gau was all for throwing himself in the line of fire, but at the same time, battles had to be chosen carefully.]
